Schoolchildren have designed two sustainable gardens with a little help from Chessington World of Adventures.
Pupils from Lovelace primary school worked in pairs to draw out design briefs using environmentally friendly concepts and only recyclable materials.
The competition, launched in May, saw members of the landscape team at Chessington work with children in year 5, teaching them about respecting the environment.
The outcome was officially unveiled at a special assembly on Monday, September 12.
Entries were judged on innovative ideas, consideration for wildlife and how recyclable materials had been used within the design.
Matt Sedgwick, deputy headteacher at Lovelace, said: “We were delighted to be given this unique opportunity and would like to thank the landscape team at Chessington for all their help with this project and for bringing to life two wonderful gardens.
“The children have learnt so much from them and have thoroughly enjoyed the whole competition.”
