Residents in Hackbridge are being encouraged to improve their eco-credibility with free home sustainability audits.
Sutton homeowners can also improve their eco-credibility by taking advantage of home insulation offers.
The green "freebies" come courtesy of the Towards One Planet Living in Sutton project, a joint initiative between Sutton Council, BioRegional and Defra which could shave up to £200 off household heating bills.
The project is offering residents in Sutton free or heavily discounted insulation and, from next month, residents over 70 will be entitled to free insulation.
Hackbridge residents can also utilise the expertise of Defra staff who are trained to help households identify ways of making their homes more energy efficient and reducing their overall environmental impact.

Wallington resident Jane Ashwood, who recently had a home visit, said the experience gave her food for thought.
"The free home visit brought our attention to some new ideas and the auditor was very friendly.
"We are looking forward to receiving the report which will hopefully give us more information on how we can further reduce our impact," she said.
The free home sustainability audits are available until the end of March, take about half-an-hour and can be arranged on any day of the week.
Anna Francis, an energy efficiency manager at BioRegional, said: "We will tailor-make a report for each household in Hackbridge, showing how they can cut their bills by reducing waste and curbing energy and water consumption."
