Sutton residents can still apply for free compost bins, courtesy of the council.
The bins are being handed out as part of a move to get householders recycling more kitchen and garden
waste.
The move comes after free collections of garden waste were replaced with a £35 annual charge
for every bag collected. The council said the charges would help fund glass collections.
