Once again Sutton Council is backing the Green Guardian campaign, much to the delight of council's leader Councillor Sean Brennan.
He added he was thrilled to announce that the borough was on board for another year and looking to make Sutton even greener.
He said: "Sutton has been at the forefront of sustainable living for over 20 years and people who live, work and attend school here have been long-standing champions of the environment.

"It is their ideas, energy and enthusiasm that will help transform our borough into the UK's first zero-carbon sustainable suburb.
“We have only one planet and we have to look after it by changing the way we use our planet’s limited resources."
Council leader Sean Brennan
"Carbon offsetting, renewable energy and sustainable living were strange words and unfamiliar concepts for many of us a few years ago.
"But they have since become embedded into everything we do in Sutton because we realised that we can not continue consuming natural resources and producing pollution without any thought to the consequences.
"We have only one planet and we have to look after it by changing the way we use our planet's limited resources.
"Sutton's vibrant mix of residents, businesses, community groups, schools and voluntary organisations are committed to working with the council and its partners on the changes we have to make if we are to enjoy a good quality of life that does not cause irreparable damage to our planet.
"The Green Guardian awards recognise the people and organisations, from all sorts of backgrounds, who have helped make Sutton cleaner and greener.
"Through their words and deeds, they are helping to build a sustainable community in which we can all take part and take pride."
