London mayor Ken Livingstone has praised the borough for setting a shining green example to the rest of the capital while canvassing.
With London's mayoral election just 34 days away, the Labour candidate was at Cannons fitness centre, in Twickenham Road, Richmond, recently to launch his environmental manifesto, which includes a £25 a day charge on high carbon emitting
cars Mr Livingstone, who is running for his third four-year term as London mayor, said: "Richmond Council has worked hard on green issues and most of what I'm doing and saying is in line with their thinking.
"People who live in this area will be those asking themselves 'what sort of world do I want my children and grandchildren to grow up in?' and it's these people who can help make a difference for everyone."
