Hydro-Cleansing invests in a greener future
We are proud to announce that come the end of April, we will be taking delivery of four new Super Combination Units.
The reason we are contacting you is that these are the first units of their kind to arrive into the UK which comply with
the new LEZ regulations over and above the required standards by the Government.
In April 2007, at the vehicle commercial show, there was a strong rumour that the London Emission Zone was going to
come into effect in the near future. Based on our position in the market and the industry sector in which we operate,
we took the commercial decision that embracing this change would compliment our activities in Environmental Cleanup
and Environmental Cleaning operations as such we subsequently sold off 65% of our fleet and replenished these with
new vehicles.
On ordering new lorries, the choice available was Euro 4 or Euro 5. Again we took a huge decision to look at what was
happening on the Continent and decided to wait for the Euro 5 engine for even lower emissions to be released in the
UK. HCL have purchased four Euro5 Class Renault Lander chassis. The chassis are then built up to our specification for
the purpose of working in Inner London cleaning drains, sewers, pits and holes. The company has also invested money
in new Euro 4 vans, again to comply with the new LEZ legislation for vehicles at the latter part of 2008 and 2010.
Hydro-Cleansing operate from Croydon, employing 40 people from at least 4 London boroughs and have a wide ranging
operating area including the new Olympic development.
We are inviting all of the necessary press officers to take this opportunity to embrace the new LEZ legislation brought
in by our Mayor of London.
We will be looking at having an open day in the second week of May 2008. Please contact james@hydro-cleansing.com
or nicole@hydro-cleansing.com if you are interested in attending.
