Ensuring that consumers' views and priorities are at the heart of water and sewerage company plans will be at the top of the agenda when the Consumer Council for Water meets on 26 March 2008 at The Brunei Gallery, London.
The water watchdog's London & South East Committee will be discussing with local water companies their plans for consulting with consumers on strategies for the future.
David Bland, Chair of the Consumer Council for Water London & South East, said: "Water charges are continuing to rise ahead of inflation to pay for investment in improved services and meet higher environmental standards. We need to understand consumers' priorities for the future, and which improvements they are willing and able to pay for in order to better represent them as water prices are set for the period running from 2010 to 2015."
