    How do you campaign?

    Campaigning is simply taking action to promote change and this encompasses a very broad range of activities. The following list isn't comprehensive - and as you can see there's something for everyone:

  • Taking part in Friends of the Earth's Days of Action - where all the groups all do the same awareness raising activity with the general public on the same day for maximum impact
  • Organising street stalls or stalls at festivals to promote the local angle of an issue
  • Hosting a talk, public meeting or debate
  • Promoting environmental campaigns or issues through local or regional media
  • Taking part in a demonstration, rally or lobby of parliament
  • Participating in a local authority consultation
  • Visiting schools or other learning establishments in relation to environmental issues
  • Creating visual props, displays and other creative installments to catch peoples' attention an imagination

    When and where do you meet?

    Everyone is welcome to come to our meetings, find out what we do and take part. We meet on the last Thursday of every month at 7.15pm for 7.30pm (except December). We meet in the Organic Cafe at Langton's bookshop, Church Street, Twickenham. The nearest station is Twickenham, and the venue is only a few minutes walk from 490, H22, 33, R70, R68, 281,267, R68,110, 290 bus routes.
