Green Party - Richmond
Greens have less media coverage than the 3 large parties, but at 110 the number of Green councillors across the country has doubled in three years. Our presence on the GLA has had a huge influence on Greening' London Planning Policy and securing funding for a range of different projects.
At a local level the Richmond and Twickenham Green Party works with the council on groups such as Environment Scrutiny. We have petitioned against the further development of Heathrow Airport and the incineration of our waste and commented on countless planning issues. We were also the original proposers of parking permit discounts for low CO2 cars.
