The vibrant culture of Africa was celebrated at Ernest Bevin College on Friday when students held a charity day for children in Uganda.
The school in Tooting held a Taste of Africa party to raise money for Diana Elizabeth Ochola Memorial Aid (DEOMA).
The charity, which has set up a school for disadvantaged children in Uganda, was founded by teacher Florence Ochola in memory of her daughter Diana, who died in 2006.
Mrs Ochola said: “The involvement of staff and students of Ernest Bevin College has brought into DEOMA a new life, vision and the energy of youth.
“I am convinced that this partnership is the beginning of a friendship between staff and pupils of two very different schools in two very different continents that will bring enrichment to both.”
