Strutting eco-supermodels have brought green thinking to the catwalk.

Pupils at Cranmer Primary School in Mitcham put on a fashion show with clothing created from recycled materials. Friday’s show marked the end of a week of green activities at the Cranmer Road school.

Headteacher Irene Leeves said: “The children are already very eco-aware and know about the importance of looking after the environment.

“They work very hard to make sure they throw as little rubbish away as possible without first thinking about whether something can be recycled.”
