Police have today released CCTV images of five men after a teen was raped in Wandle Park.

The 17-year-old was attacked in the park at just after midnight on January 27 after travelling there by tram from East Croydon.

Officers say they want to trace the five men pictured in the CCTV images in connection with the attack.

Detective Constable Doug Hemingway, from Croydon's Sapphire Unit, said: "The five men pictured were travelling on the same tram as the victim prior to the attack, and I am keen to speak to them or anyone who recognises them as they may have vital information."

The first man was described as a black man aged about 18 years, 5ft 8in, wearing dark clothing, a long beige jacket and flat peak cap.

The second one was described as a skinny black man aged about 16 years and 5ft 6in. He was wearing a black jacket over blue and white striped hooded top.

The third man was described as a black man aged about 18 or 19 years old. He was wearing a large top, a black woolly hat and light coloured trousers with distinctive slashing design on right leg.

The fourth man was described as a tall black male aged around 16 years old. He was wearing a khaki jacket over a hooded top and blue jeans.

The final man was described as a black male aged around 15 or 16 years old. He was wearing a black NY logo cap.
