Neil Warnock has insisted his Crystal Palace side will treat this week like every other as they build up to their play-off semi-final.

The Eagles face Bristol City at Selhurst Park on Saturday lunchtime then again at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night as they look to book a place in the end of season showcase final at Wembley on May 24.

But despite the pressure, Warnock wants to treat the two games as if they were nothing more than league matches.

"We will just have a normal week us," he said. "I don't think the players will expect anything different. Nothing will change.

"They're league games as far as we're concerned although they're classed as play-offs, I don't see any difference in that.

"I think the final becomes more of a theatre of dreams because of where it is and what's at stake. As I said last week if we didn't win another game we've had a great year and I'm proud of the lads."

Warnock has voiced an air of caution though and urged Palace fans not to get too impatient should his side fail to match Sunday's 5-0 win over Burnley when Bristol visit Selhurst.

"I think you've got to be careful," he said. "You haven't got to win the first leg, I think our record is the best in the league away from home.

"We've got to try and score goals and try and win the game but it's not the be-all and end-all in the play-offs.

"They should be good games because Gary Johnson's team has done excellent, they've had a fantastic season and he's got to be very close to manager of the year.

"We've got a 25 per cent chance. There's four clubs in it and we're probably as good as anybody and it's up to us to try and win the games and I'm sure everybody else will be thinking the same."
